Recap of the past few weeks in our life.

Jaxson is growing up before our very eyes.  He turned 14 last month and we couldn't love him more.  He is such a sweet, thoughtful, handsome and smart young man.  Today he was ordained a Teacher in his ward (doubling the size of his quorum!)  Holy cats, was I ever emotional.  I tried to pass it off as bad allergies but.............then I went into my ugly cry!  I'm just so proud of him.  I tried not to think about the fact that in 5 years he'll go on a mission, but the thought was right there.  Time passes far too quickly.  It seems like just last week that his dad turned 14!  Guess that means I'm getting old huh?

Jaxson's little brother turned ONE already and his party was pretty fun.  He wasn't sure what to do with the cake at first, but soon got the drift and loved it!

Here's the proof

Jake & Lacey stopped here  for a day on their way to Colorado.  They loved all the kids and had a good time being with us all.  I think they were a little overwhelmed and realized that our upcoming vaca to Hawaii will be more hectic and noisy than they are used to.  Here he is with cute Noah.

Noah has the most beautiful eyes!  Wish you could see his lashes , they are amazing!

Delaney & her monkey

More beautiful eyes - Eliza

Cameron loved his bath in our sink

We bought a season pass to the zoo and have had a few fun trips there.  Sometimes we're lucky enough to steal our Josh away from work for a bit.  He's one busy guy and we love it when we get a little time with him.  We love spending time with his darling kids too!

Awww.  Cameron LOVES the twins and gives them as many hugs as he can.  It's so cute.  I think they get a little tired of it but they've been good sports and hug him back once in a while!

Melissa made this yummy (and oh so cute) mud pie for Father's Day

And here he is - my handsome husband

Cute Colby finished kindergarten and is an amazing reader.

Eliza is a girl after my own heart.  She loves dessert and has the tummy to prove it!

Handsome Bailey is such a good big brother to Cam.  He is always willing to help out with him and it's obvious how much he loves him.  It's so cute to see the brothers together.

Delaney & Eliza - I love these pictures!

Jeff taught Bailey

and Jax to drive our scooters and they loved it!

Not sure which photo is cuter

or the back!  Aren't those little bums so cute???

Such a beautiful mom

Another trip to the zoo
It's been a fun summer so far and there's lots more to come.
Hope you enjoyed seeing what we've been up to.  As you can see, our world revolves around our grandkids.  We love each of them so much and hope they don't grow up as fast as their parents did but somehow we know they will, dang it!

Jacob Alexander, Esquire

We are happy and proud to share pictures of Jacob's graduation on May 28, 2011.  He earned his degree at Lewis & Clark Law School and is finally done with school!  He and Lacey are moving to Boulder, CO and are excited about their new adventure.  The possibilities are endless and we can't wait to hear what the next chapter holds.
Jeff and I felt so blessed to be able to watch him graduate and we couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments.  Jon & Amy drove from Spokane with the kids and we had a really fun weekend together.  It was rainy in Portland - but then again it was rainy at home too.  We loved seeing the city and spending time with our kids.  Abbie and Jeffrey were great travelers which helped a lot.  Everyone (but me & my bad back) helped Jake and Lacey load up the moving truck so we had a productive weekend as well.

Thanks Lace, for helping him get through and for being such a great support.
We love you!

More photos to blog

I've been blogging on our iMac instead of our laptop lately but today I noticed I had some photos flagged for blogging on the laptop - so here you go!

We went to St. George and had some time with Josh & Julie's family.  It was great fun just before Easter.  I brought each of the girls a little purse and some news shoes, a big hit!  They are shoe freaks!  It was so cute to watch them with their new prizes.

Right after we arrived, the ice cream truck came by and boy was Colby happy.
We went on some fun hikes and lapped up the sunshine.  Something in short supply in Utah of late.

I love this photo of Eliza and papa, just chillin on a log.

Cute to see Colby laughing at the movie "Untangled"  His new fav.

Golfing at Sand Hollow, a fantastically beautiful course.  I golfed the first 9 holes (if you can call it golfing - I am SO bad)  But it sure was fun.
Jeff's golfing buddy Todd happened to be in St. George
the same week so we golfed with him too.
Jeff and I went to Las Vegas after Josh & Julie went home.  We took time out of "sin city" and went to the temple - a very good choice!
Our very handsome Bailey

Noah & Jax

Cute Cam makes some fun faces - he has a very expressive face.
