Hola from Costa Rica!

Such a great house.  We loved the backyard pool which was right on the edge of a beautiful golf course.  The views were breathtaking no matter which way we looked.

The grand entrance to our grand house for a week!  It had 8 suites - each about 700 sq. feet - plus two large rooms to gather in.  Thanks Casa de Golf!  We miss you and hope to be able to go back someday.

I never seem to be able to get the photos in the right order, someday I'll take the time to figure it out - as for now it is what it is, so here goes!

Our whole fam (except Lacey & Abbie) on a jungle cruise - just like the one at Disneyland only with real animals and no lame jokes!  We had a great time seeing crocs, monkeys, lots of birds and - yuck -  bats!

Colby & Papa looking at monkeys up in the trees.  Colby was calling for George (Curious) the first 4 days we were there - it was so cute.  When we finally found some, he looked at them for a half a minute or so then wanted to go pick up some sticks he'd seen earlier!

Bay, Jax, Colby and Papa in our driveway

Colby was well taken care of for the week by Bailey and Jaxson.  The three of them shared a suite which made it really nice for Josh & Julie.  The boys would get up before any of us and have breakfast (served daily in our dining room from 7 - 10) and stayed at his beck and call all day long.  They even watched "Mary Poppins" with him at least 4 times!  They were supercalifragilisticexpealladocious!

Bath Time

Jonathan & Amy have been helping Spencer & Melissa with their new house so we get to tend Abbie while they're there.  (It's a sure bet we'd rather be with her than painting!!!!)  Tonight she had fun in our kitchen sink, aka her bathtub.  Check out these cute pictures.

Oh, by the way, for anyone who doesn't know this - Josh & Julie are expecting TWINS - yeah!

Our Easter Bunny!

Laughing at Papa!

G.G. & Abbie

Amy, Abbie & Jonathan

An Abbie sandwich!

Great to be together.

We had a nice Easter with Gram, Jim, Melissa (Spencer was sanding floors at their new house in Centerville), Jonathan, Amy & Abbie.  The usual Easter fare: ham, funeral potatoes, etc.  It was delicious if I do say so myself!  After dinner we went to see the progress on the house and showed it to Jim.  Pretty much everyone that sees it loves it and really sees the potential it has.  It reminds me of a house from the "Leave it to Beaver" or "My Three Sons" days.  It has so much character though there is a LOT of work to do on it.  Guess I should take some photos sometime to blog.  They are going to have a great life there and we are so happy to have them close by - only eleven minutes from our house, yea!

What a face!

Wook at those cute wittle wegs!

She figured out how to open the cupboards her on her first try

One side isn't enough!

Coming to see Grammy

I wuv my Grammy!

I had the pleasure of tending Abbie last week while Amy went to work.  Her commercial appraisal company held her position for 10 months for her and now she is working just one day a week for six hours - nice eh?  Anyway, Abbie and I had a blast.  She loved getting into our cupboards and throwing things out.  She found a box of Crystal Light (the little packets), dumped them out and spent about 30 minutes putting them back in then dumping them out again.  Oh to be so easily entertained!  Here are some cute photos of her in our kitchen, doing her thing.  Can you blame us for being wrapped around her finger?

Finally, all Jeff's golfing paid off!

So, six hours after picking me up at the airport, Jeff flew off on a "once in a lifetime" golfing extravaganza.  A friend/client took him to Pebble Beach for 4 days of golfing at some of the best courses in America.  This is his busiest times of the year and normally he can hardly breathe till April 15th - but he HAD to go!  They had an absolute ball,  pun intended, and golfed their brains out.  March 19th at 2:10 pm, was one of the most exciting moments of his life when he finally hit a HOLE IN ONE!  He called me immediately to tell me all about it and I loved hearing his excitement.  All the extra hours he'll have to put in for the next few weeks was totally worth it.  And now he's tied with Jacob, who got a hole in one about 4 years ago!  Way to go honey, I'm proud of you!  Let's celebrate April 16th okay?  PS.  Does this mean you can retire now and join the PGA?

Cute kids in Boston

Julie is relaxing and sleeping as much as she can.  She isn't able to do anything with us and we miss her as a tour guide!  She's been doing it for 8 years and is so good at it.  Today we're going to walk the Freedom Trail and see the history of Boston.  I've done it 3 or 4 times but it's still fun.  It's been so cold here, but today it's going to be in the upper 40's - the warmest day yet!  Abbie and I have caught a cold somehow and she especially doesn't feel good.  She's such a good baby though and motors along with whatever we're doing.  Colby is great too and even endured shopping downtown for a few hours.  As long as there's a train ride involved - he's there!
Colby climbing up a 3-story structure at the Children's Museum - brave boy!
Abbie makes new friends and tastes everything!
The Train Master
Abbie's first plane ride - she was so good - even though it was a "red-eye".
Our cute 3-year-old says "Oh sure, sure, sure", when we ask him (some) questions!

Oldies but Goodies

My job/pleasure for the past few months has been to put in date order and edit about 5,500 photos that were previously on negatives.  I had them put on cd's at Costco (which cost a small fortune but was totally worth it!  It's been such a blast to see them and reminisce.  Our kids grew up right before my eyes and several of them made me cry!  Going down memory lane was such fun.  I'll post them a few at a time - so tune in occasionally for more!  Enjoy.
